Connect Marketing has an immediate position available for a talented and experienced PR professional to develop and execute strategic marketing-based public relations programs for multiple high-tech firms. This person will be an integral part of the team, supporting PR and communications programs on behalf of our clients. The position requires strong project management skills, attention to detail and keen media relations chops. Experience in the high-tech industry is a bonus. This position is for someone who would like to work remotely.
This person should be a growth-oriented, account-driven strategist, preferably with PR agency experience. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required for interacting with client’s top management as well as being able to focus on the details and be actively involved in day-to-day account management.
Majority of client work is with tech companies on a variety of programs, including launches, corporate communications, executive communications, mergers & acquisitions and other programs.
Team members grow their client management, leadership and overall integrated marketing skills at this agency.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Create compelling storylines for pitching to various media outlets
- Provide counsel on announcement strategies, competitive announcements, etc.
- Develop and manage media briefings
- Develop strong angles for pitches and press releases
- Contribute to the creation of communications plans that meet client objectives
- Manage multiple projects from conception to completion, by anticipating challenges and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
- Build relationship with clients, media and colleagues at all levels
- Communicate with clients and key members of the media via email, phone and in person
- Secure consistent and quality placements on a regular basis in top-tier publications and news sources
- Press release writing
- Proactive pitching

Required Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 – 10 years related experience in public relations with proven ability to manage client relationships.
- Agency experience a plus
