Importantly, Connect Marketing is 100% full-service. We handle all aspects of creating your video from concept to mastering.

Types of Videos

A video can explain, teach, sell or evoke emotion. What your video will do depends on your goals.

AA corporate overview provides a high-level, glossy view of your company. It touches on what you do, but is more about the high-level benefits you provide, your customer base and the leadership you’ve achieved. It typically (but not always) comprises primarily of live action video, with some video animation as appropriate. A typical corporate overview video runs for 2 to 3 minutes.

A product explainer educates a prospect about your product (or service). It discusses your prospect’s needs, why existing solutions fall short and how your product addresses the prospect’s need. A typical product explainer runs for 2 to 3 minutes.

A product demo shows your product in action. If it is software, it shows screen captures of your software in action. If it is a physical product, it shows the product in action. It is less glossy than a corporate overview or a product explainer and delves into more details. As a result, a product demo video runs longer, lasting for 3 to 10 minutes.

A customer testimonial profiles one of your customers. Ostensibly, the video, tells your customer’s story. The customer had a problem, they installed your product, it worked and the ROI was great. Customer testimonials work because the customer is unbiased. Customer testimonials run for 2 to 3 minutes.

A thought leadership video talks about an industry issue, not about your company or product. It educates the prospects on an important issue that they are interested in, thereby rewarding your firm with thought leadership currency. A thought leadership video can be live action video, animated or a combination of both. They typically run for 3 to 4 minutes.

Video Styles

Connect Marketing produces four main video styles:

Live Action Video Style

Live action videos are shot with traditional video cameras and produce high-resolution video imagery. Connect uses the Canon Cinema EOS series camera to produce professional 4K footage of the highest caliber. We augment these cameras with the finest audio and lighting equipment to present your story at the highest level possible.

Animated Video Style

Animated explainers have become the most common style used in B2B marketing today. Connect has been producing high-quality animated videos for more than two decades. Commonly, we use a style known as flat design, which employs a minimalist 2D look that is never fussy and keeps the focus on the story.

Connect is also skilled at true 3D animation which, although used less commonly, can produce a very high-end look for clients.

Hybrid Video Style

Animated explainers have become the most common style used in B2B marketing today. Connect has been producing high-quality animated videos for more than two decades. Commonly, we use a style known as flat design, which employs a minimalist 2D look that is never fussy and keeps the focus on the story. Connect is also skilled at true 3D animation which, although used less commonly, can produce a very high-end look for clients.

Screen Capture Demos Video Style

Using a product such as Camtasia, Connect can record an actual product session, edit that session, and add animation, audio and highlighting. The effect is a professional demo video that combines high production value with in-depth content and lower pricing.
